The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.


Manages the assortment planning, sourcing, product development, pricing, sales planning, margin goal achievement, distribution/logistics planning, and vendor management for the LaCrosse and Danner brands Accessories categories, which includes (but not limited to): Foot Care products (bootcare, laces, insole, liners, etc.), Socks, and Apparel (logo headwear, t-shirts, etc.). Research and create additional growth opportunities to achieve targeted corporate revenue penetration for the Accessories category.



Product Line Manager - Lifestyle category



  • Understands and researches the competitive market, consumers, and LFI customers for the Accessories product category.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate and on-going product analyses including sales and margin forecasting. Works with Sourcing and Finance on inventory control and closeouts.
  • Defines new accessories product needs of the LFI consumer and the end user of LaCrosse/Danner branded accessories products. Analyzes the Accessories product line and its place in the market. Identifies gaps/opportunities for growth.
  • Solicits information from sales force, direct to consumer team, marketing, along with consumer comments, in regards to the LaCrosse/Danner Accessories products.
  • Responsible for maintaining line plan for accurate information of current and upcoming seasons. Ensures accuracy of line plan for use by other departments (i.e.: MarCom, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, etc.)
  • Works with material suppliers, designers, and factories to select quality materials, infuse relevant design innovation, and complete quality commercialization required within specified time lines.
  • Negotiates costs with suppliers and factories to maximize profitability of category.
  • Serves as point of contact for LFI's customers and consumers in regards to accessories, including involvement in key account and trade show sales presentations.
  • Acts as the in-house category expert to our sales and customer service organizations.
  • Shadows and/or partners with Lifestyle PLM to carry out and launch existing accessory seasonal line plans and contributes to the overall business plan for the Company.
  • Other project-related duties as assigned.



  • 1-3 years' experience in product, retail apparel and/or accessories.
  • Working knowledge of accessories construction and assortment planning preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent financial analysis and business math skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
  • Strong PC skills required. Word, Excel, and database management.
  • Must be willing to conduct oneself in accordance with the Company's Core Values.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:                           

Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and experience.



Domestic and some International travel required, approximately 10%-15%
